About Us

OUR STORY

Revival Church Billericay (originally called Christian Growth Centre Billericay) launched in November 2012 but our story begins way back in 2009 when God spoke to Andy and Jane Robb about starting a Billericay life group (a home group) for CGC Chelmsford to which they then belonged.

Andy and Jane Robb

In the autumn of 2012 it became clear to Andy and Jane, as well as the leadership of CGC Chelmsford, that God was leading them to transition this Life Group into an embryonic church.

From April 2012 CGC Billericay began meeting on Sunday evenings at Costa in Billericay High Street to start building team and to establish the church’s spiritual foundations.

In November 2012 we launched as a church and began meeting on Sunday mornings at the Rising Sun pub function room in Billericay.

In March 2014 we moved to The Billericay School and since September 2021 we’ve been meeting fortnightly at the Chantry Centre in Billericay, the other weeks in our Connect Groups.

As you will see from this website we focus on four key areas:

Encounter – creating the opportunity for people to experience the reality of God.

Nurture – creating the opportunity for people to belong to a family who love doing life together.

Training – creating the opportunity for people to be strengthened and equipped to become mature Christians.

Influence – creating the opportunity for people to take God’s love and power into their everyday lives.

Revival Church Billericay is a member of Churches Together in Billericay, an ecumenical forum and focus for inter-church action in the town.

Revival Church Billericay is part of the Skylark International family of churches and ministries which share a common DNA to build and extend God’s kingdom.

Revival Church Billericay is also a member of the Evangelical Alliance.

Our Vision

Revival Church Billericay has at its heart a desire to see people experience God’s love and power and for them to be effective carriers of this abundant life into their spheres of influence.

Our Core Values

These are the things which we consider necessary to create the church culture in which people thrive and in which God is unfettered.

The acknowledgement that God is good and nothing can separate us from His love.

An emphasis on encountering God’s presence; recognising that intimacy with our Heavenly Father is our highest pursuit.

Everyone has equal significance and worth in God’s sight and so we seek to honour and love those created in His image.

We choose to live unoffended and to forgive others just as God forgives us.

We value truth and integrity because we are called to be ‘children of the light’.

We love to be generous because this perfectly reflects the nature of God whose generosity was exemplified in giving His only Son as our Saviour

We choose to live hope-filled, thankful lives because God is faithful to His promises.
