Pastors’ Update

What an exciting month it has been since our launch as Revival Church Billericay on 14th February.  God is training us to trust Him and to enjoy the journey.

On the day of our recent Encounter God event Andy and I went for a walk at Lake Meadows and to pray for the evening.  Normally we take the same route around the lake but on this occasion I sensed that God wanted us to go up by the tennis courts and in doing so we discovered the new woodland walk at the top end of the park. It was beautiful!

As we walked home I sensed God say that we need to get used to following His leading; going off familiar paths to discover more about Him and His plans for us.

One of the biggest things that will stop us from entering into all that God has for us, or taking unfamiliar routes, is fear.

Fear of the unknown, fear of being hurt, fear that God doesn’t know what is best for us, fear of failure.

When we are God’s sons and daughters we can be assured that God has the very best for us.  Our lives should not be ruled by fear but by a hope-filled expectation of the good things that God has in store for us.

In Psalm 27:1 it says ‘The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?’

God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.

As we journey together let’s be prepared to be led into exciting adventures with God!

With every blessing
