06 Jan Pastors’ Update
I always find that the dawning of a new year is a good time to reflect on God’s goodness in the year that has just past and to take time to hear God’s heart for us for the coming year.
For every one of us there will be some circumstance or issues in our lives that are not what we would want them to be but I would encourage you to take time to get God’s perspective on them.
To ask Him how we can partner with what He is doing in our lives and what biblical truths He wants us to be declaring over these circumstances or issues.
The Bible promises us that He will keep us in perfect peace when our minds are fixed on Him and when we trust in Him. In Proverbs we are told to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding.
It seems to me that trust and dependence on God are vital if we want to live peace-filled lives.
My prayer for us as we step into 2017 is that we would deepen our trust in God and know His peace in increasing measure.
Let’s make 2017 our best year ever!
